At the request of a few customers, we've expanded our Marlin 1894 pistol caliber carbine conversions to include the 327 Federal / 32 H&R. The simplest of conversions to do, the 327 Federal / 32 H&R can be done using your current Marlin 1894 rifle barrel OR a Douglas match-grade barrel.

A Marlin 1894CL conversion rifle to 327 Federal with a 16.5" barrel and mag tube will hold 7 rounds.
- BARREL AND MAG TUBE SHORTENED (YOUR CHOICE 21" DOWN TO 16.5")
- BARREL CHAMBERED TO 327 FEDERAL
- RE-INSTALL FRONT AND REAR SIGHTS
- KG GUN KOTE GUN METAL BLUE COATING ON BARREL (OR YOUR CHOICE OF COLOR)
- HARD RIFLE CASE

The claim that the .327 Federal conversion is the simplest to do on a Marlin 1894 makes sense given the similar case dimensions to the .32 H&R, but I'm curious how the shorter 16.5-inch barrel affects velocity and whether the standard magazine tube follower and spring need modification for reliable feeding with the shorter cartridge. Also, does the conversion retain the original bolt face, or is any work needed there?
